About the Brand
Inspired by the powerful ‘I love New York’ brand and the unequalled success of its campaign of over three decades, creator and owner of I love Curaçao, Muryad de Bruin, decided it was time to come up with a formula that would promote his own home country of Curaçao not only as a sun filled vacation destination, but at the same time for what it actually is: a trendy cosmopolitan location where young urban professionals from anywhere in the world can live, work and play.
After researching other recent city branding concepts, Muryad proceeded to pick the name of the brand and its appearance (logo and colors). He registered both the name and the logo at the Bureau for Intellectual Property and he is now the proud owner of an officially registered Trade Mark.
His initial idea was to just operate a website as a portal for newcomers to interest them in a vacation or in doing business in Curaçao. Sharing his idea with other people, Muryad got more and more into the spirit of the brand and decided that the sky is the limit. The result is a solid brand that offers not only a fun and practical online portal for vacationers, potential residents and the existing community of the island, but also an array of products and services that provide the user with the opportunity to display his love for Curaçao anytime, anywhere… Soon you can proudly wear, eat, sleep, work, play and dance you love for Curaçao to your heart’s content.
