Things to See and Do
In Curaçao there is no excuse not to have a social life. Although we can imagine that some people might not want to have one… sometimes it simply gets too exhausting. From the flaming hot Carnival season in January and February, all the way to the light and fireworks spectacle of Christmas and New Year’s, there is always something to do. There may even be times that you have to say no, just to be able to get a decent night’s sleep.
Besides all your regular daytime activities, such as a day at the beach, (water)sports, golf, the outdoors, museums, a movie, or just a day in town, Curaçao is also known for its energetic and diverse nightlife. From Salsa, Bachata, and Reggeaton, all the way to Trance and Techno, the occasional Disco or Eighties Night and even Heavy Metal or Dutch Folk Music, you can get it all. With contemporary venues, as well as some more folkloric ones, there is something to do every day of the week.
And even though a good night out with your friends never gets old, it is always nice to have something new and exciting from time to time and in Curaçao you will not be disappointed. Throughout the year it is a coming and going of special events and concerts, theme parties, and guest DJs in the many venues on the island, both at night and during the day.
If you have small children and are looking for family activities, there are plenty of those to go around as well. As long as you stay on the move, continue to meet new people and remember to check your K-Pasa, Go-Weekly, Kiko ta Kiko or other event calendar, we guarantee you will not be bored!
